The fabric of these jeans is the type that softens with wear and develops a personal touch, retaining the essence of traditional vintage denim.
The distressed finish is not a uniform wash produced by a machine, but rather “wear marks” created by artisans repeatedly rubbing, polishing, and kneading the fabric surface with their palms and tools. Areas most frequently touched by hands, such as the knee bulges, the front of the thighs, and the edges of the pockets, are stained with varying shades of grayish-brown, appearing as if they have been worn for a long time without washing. Each pair of “distressed” jeans is different because it is handmade; the artisan’s pressure and angle determine the final result, a randomness that cannot be achieved through mass production.
The rhinestones and rivets are not randomly attached, but precisely positioned on the brightest, most faded areas of the back pockets—the areas of the fabric most stressed and most prone to fading. The diamond beads are individually heat-pressed deep into the fibers using a hot-pressing technique, resulting in a much stronger bond than glue and preventing them from easily falling off even after washing.
