Balenciaga 26SS Overlapping Tape Print Letter Embroidery Short-Sleeve T-Shirt
The entire garment features a retro design with multiple tapes randomly overlapping each other. The entire printing process relies on a professional high-temperature heat press machine to press and shape the tapes in sections and multiple times, making the entire process complex and demanding. The fabric is a heavyweight ring-spun cotton knit fabric. The garment undergoes double pre-treatment, including enzyme stone washing and pre-shrinking. The pre-shrinking machine is used to calibrate the warp and weft density of the fabric to offset the heat shrinkage deformation caused by subsequent high-temperature heat pressing. The fabric pre-treatment process far exceeds the standards of basic T-shirts.
The multiple irregularly shaped tape labels arranged in a staggered pattern on the chest are each independently designed and colored, distinguishing the three-layer material system of hot melt adhesive layer, pigment layer, and matte coating. Each print requires more than ten sets of custom films and heat-pressing dies. Each adhesive tape label must be individually fed into a constant-temperature heat press for precise pressing. The equipment pressure, temperature, and pressing time are adjusted in different areas. When pressing multiple layers of labels, the upper label must precisely avoid overlapping the already printed lower layer, strictly controlling the alignment tolerance within 0.15mm to prevent high-temperature adhesive from overflowing and smearing the print. The vertical strip labels on the sides are limited by the curvature of the garment, requiring a special positioning fixture to fix the garment pieces and perform segmented side pressing to prevent fabric stretching and skewing. After layered heat pressing, a segmented gradient drying process is performed, with stepped temperature control to strengthen ink adhesion. Finally, the garments are washed and distressed to simulate the natural wear and tear of the tape, while simultaneously screening out defective products that have curled edges, delamination, or misalignment after heat pressing. Compared to one-step screen printing, this multi-module, multi-stage heat pressing production method significantly increases plate-making waste and fabric scrap rates. From plate making and machine setup to finished product finishing, it undergoes more than twenty detailed processes. Utilizing high-precision heat pressing equipment and experienced sewing workers, it achieves its goal through complex techniques, faithfully recreating the casually layered design of American bumper stickers. It is a benchmark for heavy-duty printing in affordable luxury ready-to-wear.
