Miu Miu Reversible Down Jacket
Fabric Procurement
Outer Layer Fabric: High-density nylon, a lightweight yet strong material that effectively blocks wind and rain while maintaining good breathability and comfort.
Inner Layer Fabric: Soft cotton blend fabric. It works well with the filling to prevent down from escaping while providing a comfortable wearing experience. It also enhances moisture-wicking properties.
Filling: 90% new national standard white duck down
Filling Process: To ensure even distribution of down, a quilting process is used before filling. First, the outer and inner layers are quilted to form individual filling compartments, then down is filled into each compartment according to the specified weight. This process ensures that the down does not pile up during wear, maintaining overall warmth and evenness.
Shaping Process: To maintain the good shape of the down jacket, a shaping process is used during production. Controlling the stitch length and tightness during quilting ensures neat and aesthetically pleasing lines. Elastic fabrics or ribbed designs are used at cuffs and hems to enhance the garment’s three-dimensionality and fit.
Sewing and splicing: This is the most common splicing method, where fabrics from different parts are sewn together using a sewing machine. During splicing, attention must be paid to even stitch length and strong stitches, using double-needle stitching to prevent unraveling. For critical splicing areas, such as shoulders and underarms, reinforced stitching is used to increase the garment’s durability.
